Dress Your Best Tuesdays

Greenbriar just received a donation of 475 Girl Power bracelets from www.girlpowercampaign.org.  The Girl Power Campaign Company heard about our ladies’ Dress Your Best Tuesdays and wanted to get involved. Because of their generosity, every Greenbriar lady who participates in Dress Your Best Tuesday will receive a Girl Power Bracelet!

Our goal is that by April 21st (the last official Dress Your Best day of this school year) that EVERY female student and staff member in the building will have earned ONE Girl Power bracelet!

Ladies face a dilemma when dressing their best, when they can’t just throw on a tie. These bracelets will be a Tuesday (and daily) reminder for the ladies to hold their heads up and show their girl power!

The bracelets come in five fun colors, each bracelet with a hidden message (you can see the message when you stretch the bracelet):

I am empowered to follow my dreams.

I am empowered to change the world.

I am empowered to always shine bright.

I am empowered to make a difference.

I am empowered to be myself.

What does dressing your best mean?

It means coming to school dressed to learn as your job.

It could be a dress, a skirt or slacks, paired with a nice collared or button down top. It may include a scarf or nice cardigan. No Jeans!

Ladies will earn 1 point each Tuesday for dressing their best. Teachers will help students keep track of points in their classroom. Students in grades 2-5 must acquire 12 out of 14 points to be invited to a Ladies Night Out on Thursday, April 23rd, 2015 (new date!!). If your daughter needs guidance as to what is dressing her best, please have her see Mrs. Alexander or Mrs. Thompson.
